I was born in Rochester, NY and raised in Fort Lauderdale, FL.  I have also been fortunate to have lived in other parts of the U.S.  From 1972 through 2005 Rhode Island was my home.  During my time in Rhode Island, I worked for the Army National Guard a little more than 21 years; I flew helicopters, among other duties. I was an Army Aviator for almost 30 years (Active/National Guard). I also worked for the Department of the Navy in Newport, RI for six  years (1999 through 2005).   I have now retired to a farm in Central City, IA with my wife Judith (pictures on left); we were married in Rhode Island in 1991.

I am also a grandfather. My oldest daughter, Christy Ross, gave birth to Jenna in May 1998 and Hailey in August 2000.  My youngest daughter, Sara DeCesare, gave birth to Giana in March 2006.  They are all cute children. I am happy that they are all healthy and active. To the right are pictures of these grandchildren, which have been taken over the last few years.

On September 4, 2006, Judith and I traveled to China to adopt Dong Fang YuJing in Nanchang, the capital of Jiangxi Province.  We named her Anna YuJing Lindsay.  She was two and a half years old, when we were united as a family in China.  After spending nearly two weeks in China, we returned to the United States, where our new daughter became a U.S. Citizen on September 13, 2006.  To see images and a narrative of our trip to China, click on the Adoption link on this page.
